You already know that men in the film industry get paid more than woman, and you've probably heard that men outnumber women both in front and behind the camera. But the extent to which this is the case is sobering.

for Best Director. Kathryn Bigelow is the only one that has won.
In 85 years, only 7 women have won for Best Picture
In 85 years only 8 women have won for Best Adapted Screenplay
In 73 years only 8 women have won for Best Original Screenplay
In 2013 (85th Academy Awards) there were NO female nominees for Directing, Cinematography, Film Editing, Screenwriting
(Original Screenplay) or Music (original score).
