5 Staple Foods To Eat Daily To Keep Yourself Healthy

Eating healthy is a lifestyle choice that I really enjoy. When I eat clean and am getting plenty of optimal nutrients, I feel good and strong and look my best as a result.

But eating and staying healthy takes a lot of conscious effort. We have to give our bodies what it needs every, single day in order to replenish and stay at the top of our game. When you have a busy schedule or life just gets in the way, eating (let alone eating healthy) can sometimes be at the bottom of our priority list. For example, since I am a vegetarian it can be difficult for me to get plenty of protein and because I am always on the go, it can be a challenge to be sure that I am getting plenty of fruits and vegetables since they aren't something that can last in my handbag. As a cause, I have some staples items that help me get through the day.

1. Orac Energy Protein and Greens

This powder has non-GMO Pea Protein, organic alkalizing greens, organic berries and veggies, acai & goji superfoods, herbal adaptogens, and probiotics. Each serving contains 22 g protein & the antioxidant equivalent of 24 servings of fruits & vegetables. I drink a serving of this every morning!

2.  Spectrum Essentials Chia & Flax Seed with Coconut & Cocoa

I add this to yogurt and smoothies daily!! Chia and flax are superfood that have a wide range of nutritional benefits, and the cocoa and coconut flavor is amazing!

3. SO Delicious Almond milk- plus 5x the protein!

Sub dairy milk for this delicious almond milk. It is healthy and a great way to get a hefty dose of protein. I use it in all my smoothies, oatmeal and anywhere else that requires milk.

 4. Coco Libre + Protein with coconut water.

These little guys pack 20 grams of protein and 23 vitamins and minerals. I make smoothies daily with these! I like adding fresh berries and banana to the almond and vanilla flavors and love to blend the chocolate flavor with some peanut butter and banana!

This granola has 3g of fiber per serving, which helps to maintain a healthy digestive system, controls appetite and supports steady blood sugar levels. It contains Whole Grains Amaranth, Quinoa, Oats, Millet & Buckwheat provide essential nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and protein, which help achieve a balanced diet and maintain a healthy weight. I add it to my oatmeal, yogurt and top of my smoothie bowls with it too!
