Leopard is a neutral as far as I am concerned. Just like your favorite leather jacket or black ankle boots, a leopard piece is a no-fuss item you can throw on any time, with just about anything, and look polished and fab. Yes, the spotted print is seen more prominently some years over others (newsflash: it’s huge again right now) but it maintains its perennial nature, having been chic since, well forever. Kate Moss made leopard a part of her fashion uniform, inspiring impeccably dressed modern favorites from Alexa Chung to Chloe Sevigny to do the same. Go ahead and file leopard under “classics”, along with trench coats, denim, leather jackets, black ankle boots, and the rest.
