13 Times Celebrity Women Expertly Responded To Stupid Questions

Amal Clooney
During an appearance in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, where she was representing Armenia, a reporter asked the celebrated barrister what she was wearing (as opposed to an intelligent question about the case). Amal had the perfect response....
 "I'm wearing Ede & Ravenscroft."
Ede & Ravenscroft are the company that make legal robes- for  lawyers- even women (gasp).

Rihanna
Rihanna was asked what she was looking for in a man instead of about her many talents, to which she answered overtly annoyed...
"I'm not looking for a man. Let's start there."

Emma Stone
During a 2012 interview with Teen Vogue, Emma and Andrew Garfield were asked about their Spider-Man film. After Stone responded to a question about her blond hair, Garfield said, "I don't get asked that.", to which Emma responded...
"You get asked interesting, poignant questions because you are a boy. It is sexism."...

Anne Hathaway
After divulging questions about her diet and fitness habits for her Dark Knight Rises role as Catwoman, Anne decided to turn the tables on an interviewer from Extra by asking him...
"Are you trying to lose weight? What's the deal man? You look great! Seriously, we have to talk about this. Are you trying to fit into a catsuit?"

Laverne Scott
During an interview with Wendy Williams, Laverne was asked if she had breast implants. Laverne calmly added...
"Off camera I can talk to you, but I've chosen to not talk about any of the stuff that I've gotten done because I think so often when trans people's experiences are talked about, we far too often focus on surgery and transition, so I don't talk about that."
Amen.

Mindy Khaling
Mindy is an actress, producer and overall wonderful and talented person. She has been subjected to some pretty annoying questions but one of the questions she hates the most are about her confidence. In the September 2014 issue of Parade Magazine, Mindy comments on how uncomfortable questioning her confidence makes her saying..."I always get asked, ‘Where do you get your confidence?’ I think people are well meaning, but it’s pretty insulting. Because what it means to me is, ‘You, Mindy Kaling, have all the trappings of a very marginalized person. You’re not skinny, you’re not white, you’re a woman. Why on earth would you feel like you’re worth anything?’

Cate Blanchett
Cate interrupted an interview to point out how ridiculous is was that one of the cameras were panning up and down her body as she was talking about her work. Ms Blanchett asked the cameraman....
"Do you do that to the guys?"
The answer, in case you're wondering is umm, NO.
Rashida Jones
During the 2015 SAG Awards, an interviewer told Rashida "you look just like you've come off an island or something. You're very Tan. Very tropical.", to which Rashida responded..."I mean, you know, I'm ethnic."
Embarrassing.
Scarlett Johansson
During a press interview for The Avengers in 2012, Scarlett made her annoyances about the crappy questions she gets asked clear by pointing out how creepy it was for the interviewer to ask whether she wore underwear under her Black Widow, asking...
"Since when did people start asking about each other in interviews about their underwear?"
Zooey DeChannel
In a video created by Unworthy, Zooey clearly states her dismay for reporters who focus on women's bodies rather than their achievements saying...
"In what world is that ever an okay question to ask anybody?"

Mayim Bialik
Mayim was patronized on the red carpet when an interviewer asked how many people think that she can actually solve calculus because of her role on Big Bang Theory. Mayim responded....
"I actually was trained in calculus for several years. I'm a neuroscientist".

Amy Poehler
Amy got really annoyed when an interviewer brought up the fact that people think women aren’t as funny as men saying, "There used to be this myth that women can't be as funny as men", to which she responded...

"Ugh this question is boring".

Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer put a reporter in his place when he asked her about her weight, saying...."Why do you want to discuss my weight? I mean, it doesn't matter how much I weight. This is awful. Would you feel comfortable if I ask you how much you weight? The film is more interesting than discussing this subject matter."
