I love summers in L.A. I mean really, it's summer year round here, but there is an undeniable summertime feeling that the breeze carries during the months of July, August and September. I think everyone feels lighter, brighter and just happier. I plan my weekends around museums, outdoor lunch and dinner venues, picnics and exploring the city. I've lived in L.A. my whole life and yet, exploring the city still feels new. We went to the Broad this weekend in DTLA, which was everything it is hyped up to be, and afterward we walked around a little bit. The MOCA was just across the street, and around the block we ran into the Grand Central Market, which opened in 1917 and has been a landmark every since. It is seriously awesome, with such great history. I hadn't been in years. It was such a nice Saturday-85 degrees, in love, and something interesting around every corner.
