BCBG
Three things: furry sandals, glitter ribbed tops, sparkle tights. That was the awesomeness that ensued at BCBG. There was something very 'Flash Dance meets the future' about the collection which I find really intriguing. Dancer vibes for sure. What really stood out was all the Lurex, which came in the form of long sleeves and leggings slashed up and down the legs. Perhaps odd when worn alone but once geniously layered under long skirts like a blue shirting midi, or dresses like a navy crepe slip dress, the cool factor was taken to new levels. which really intrigued me Fantastic outwear as well!
Lacoste
Major 70's vibes were happening at Lacoste complete with retro hues, track pants, Vinyl ponchos, thigh high patent leather boots, and knit poncho dresses. Seeing a super cool take on sportswear and some dope track pants certainly was refreshing in a sea full of thick suiting. I appreciated that. Jackets were a stand out as well with a padded jacket done in wood grain print and another in a psychedelic pattern. My favorite was a long navy shearling overcoat that zipped off at the waist. My favorite looks of the collection were a pairing of black track pants with red side stripes and a black vinyl poncho and a printed mustard skirt and sweater duo done in what I think is Velour and paired with blue patent boots. A-mazing. The collection was majorly refreshing for the sportswear brand and just super fun overall.
