The Series 2 exhibit is a modern
and unexpected interpretation of a fashion show that contextualizes the Spring
2015 Women’s Ready-to-Wear collection, conceived by Women’s Artistic Director,
Nicolas Ghesquière. It allows
visitors to explore the creative process behind the Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection, as well as the excitement of the fashion show experience. Visitors
are taken through a "series" of rooms that shed light on Nicolas
Ghesquière’s (Women’s Artistic Director) influences and inspirations.
The entrance to the exhibit is
called “Abstract Title” and features a neon lit LV logo that was originally the
seal of founder Louis Vuitton, who launched his house as a trunk maker in
1854.
“Magic Trunk” is the next room,
which uses hologram projections to show visitors one of Louis
Vuitton’s most recognizable products, blending past inspirations, current
designs and future ideas.
The “Savoir-fair Room” focuses on
the “Malletage” inspired by the inside of a Vuitton trunk.
The next room, “Backstage”, recreates the backstage experience of a fashion show.
“Infinite Show Room” is a
360-degree projection room showing all 48 looks of the Spring 2015 collection.
